Hello friends and family, my name is Justina Hindsley, a Native American mother to four wonderful children. Fourteen years ago, on February 13, 2013, Leukemia touched our family. My eldest son was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) at four years old. I watched my son fight for his life. He almost lost his life! He survived and fought with all he had. He needed a bone marrow transplant! In August of 2013, lucky for him, his sister Jacqueline was a perfect match and helped save him! For the past thirteen years, he was just enjoying his life! Last year, on November 17, 2023, this ugly disease showed its face once again. My son had surgery for an infection, almost losing his foot. And once again, his sister Jackie saved him and donated her marrow. In March of this year (2024), he once again became cancer-free. For the last few months, he has been enjoying his life! Getting back into school, going to ceremonies, traveling with his friends. In the spring, he was looking forward to trying out for baseball, playing for his hometown team, Black River Falls Tigers. Just last month, on November 19th, we brought my Sonnyboy for a check-up, only to find out this Leukemia is showing its ugly face for the 3rd time in his 16 years of life!
My son's name is Marc Anthony James Anderson Jr. He is a 16-year-old Native American enrolled member of the Ho-Chunk Nation in Wisconsin. He's really something special, has an awesome calm energy and aura about him! I humbly ask for your help, financially!! My son is currently receiving chemo treatments at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital. His doctors didn't know what to do or why the cancer is still showing up in his body. This coming January, we will be needing all the help we can get!! As we will be making our way to the University of Denver, Colorado. They will be taking his sister's marrow along with his to create an antibody to fight off his Leukemia! I kindly ask for your help. Help my little family! Help my Sonnyboy and his little journey to just live! He's the pride and joy of our little family. Ask yourself if it was one of your own! I'm currently unable to work as I have to be here with my son. We will be needing gas, lodging, and food assistance. Christmas is just right around the corner! I also need some repairs on our vehicle. All and any contributions will be appreciated. This is my firstborn and I love my son very much! I want him to live a long, healthy life. Grow to be an old wise man someday. So please help this young gentleman, he's sure worth it. Our children are deserving of a long, healthy, prosperous life. We will be traveling back and forth between our home and the hospital for the next month. Then we will be going to Colorado.
