Marciel's Recovery Fund

On Sunday, September 3rd my mom, Marciel Gonzalez, suffered a stroke and is currently recovering from surgery on the ruptured aneurysm. She has been very strong throughout this whole process, and I'm hoping she'll be able to recover fully. It is going to be a long road to recovery, and the days following her procedure are critical, but if anyone can do it it's my mother. She is the strongest most inspirational person I have ever met, and I am so proud to be her daughter.

Over the years she has touched hundreds of lives as a CPS teacher. She is compassionate and warm, and yet is strong willed and knows how to inspire those lucky enough to be around her. In the past, she has started several fundraisers and won many grants in order to improve the education and lives of her students.

I am hoping that if any of you have felt the amazing impact my mother has had, you will consider forgoing the flowers and sending your support here instead.
