March Marathon for Emmy's IVF

I am aiming to complete the distance of a marathon (43km) in my gym and outside running sessions to help raise money for my friend Emmy. This will be a huge challenge for me given how new I am to running! But I feel it will be worth every minute if I can help make a difference to Emmy. Emmy is going to be undergoing IVF in the hope of being to have a long awaited and dreamed of little baby. She has had such a difficult and heartbreaking journey to this point. She has sadly lost multiple babies, suffered an ectopic pregnancy that resulted in losing an ovary and one tube, as well as suffering from PCOS. She is an unbelievably inspiring woman, having recently lost a huge amount of weight which gave her the chance to have surgery to unblock her remaining tube but sadly it was too damaged and was removed. So with no tubes left she needed to turn to IVF. However, because by the time she had maintained her new weight for 6 months she would be over the IVF age limit for our local area (not in other areas though... Don't get me started on the unfairness of this!!!) she is no longer eligible for NHS funded IVF. Now they have found a wonderful clinic and Emmy is doing amazingly at maintaining her new lifestyle. She is such a caring and selfless person, always helping others despite going through so much herself. This is why I want to try and raise money to help her and her husband have a chance at getting the family they have wished and tried for for so long.
