March For Our Lives: Montpelier

On February 14, 2018, a boy walked into Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and committed one of the most heinous acts imaginable--17 times.
On March 24, 2018, youth and youth allies including MSD alumni, will be going to the streets of Washington D.C. to protest with March For Our Lives to demand that school safety and the lives of American children should be protected.
In solidarity with the youth and youth allies of MSD, we will be hosting a sister rally in Montpelier, Vermont to show them our support as well as to ask for change locally. This solidarity rally is being organized by me, Madison Knoop, along with a team of other Vermont youth and with the support of adult mentors.
We could really use your support to make this rally a success and to send a strong message to the Vermont legislature that the youth of Vermont demand action on gun control.
The donations from this fundraiser will be used to help us cover the costs of the rally.
All funds raised will be directed to the following endeavors: ensuring compliance with ADA standards, providing basic logistical support, and obtaining private security so that attendees are kept safe. Any extra funds will be delivered to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida within 45 days of their withdrawal.
