<div>I spend a lot of time in hospital as a result of this, for pain management infusions, food/fluid and sustenance replacement, and for ICU monitoring when my heart has more intense episodes as it has started going into failure recently.

<div>After over 6 years since it first seriously hospitalised me and had me referred to my first specialist when i was 18, I have finally been reffered to someone who understands and specialises in my condition and believes he can treat it or at least manage it and improve my quality of life.

<div>due to his how niche his speciality is and how limited public health funding is in Australia, it leaves me with a very very large out of pocket gap between how much he charges and how much medicare will fund.

<div>Im hoping to fund that initial consultation ($1500), as well as two followup consultations ($675 X2), and a fund to go towards paying for the pre appointment tests required before i can even see him (at least $400 since the cardiologist doing them is private and there are 5 tests required, most cant be done consecutively) and the travel costs (the clinic is 150km+ away and i need special transport due to my complex condition, usually hiring a car where i can lay the whole trip or patient transport, budgeting that at $200)
