Metakakaluk: A Marc Doucet Benefit

Marc Doucet, drummer for The Robins and Nerve Button, was involved in a near fatal motorcycle accident in September, being struck by a drunk driver whilst on his bike. The injuries Marc sustained were life threatening, and altering. During this time of recovery Marc has been to unable to work, leading to difficult financial hardships for him, and his family.  The journey Marc is on is long, arduous, and the process is very slow:  He faces a mirade of hurdles that will not be for the faint of heart. 

After the decades of joy Marc and his bands have brought to the Moncton music scene, it’s time we help him out. Funds are being raised to help sustain Marc day to day, and his family, until he can get back on his feet. Any donation is appreciated, and will be going to cover the necessities that are proving difficult to cover at this time, as Marc’s situation will likely take a long time to overcome. A benefit show to raise funds has also been organized, so if you’re in Moncton, NB, on December 29 come out and Enjoy....every old punk rock cat will be there, so it’s a great chance to catch some of Moncton’s original punk rock crew. Marc is an integral part of the Moncton punk/alternative music scene and has provided his signature back beat for many bands over the years including: The Robins, Nerve Button, Idea of North, Thee Suddens, HC5, Slfow Lover, Burnt Offerings, Killing Time and The Zodiac among others.
