Marc's Medical Fund

Marc DellaVolpe is a 38-year-old loving father to his 1-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son. He is the provider and protector for his wife and children. Although Marc biologically only has two children, he has many others.  He is not only a softball coach, but he is also a volunteer wrestling coach and a substitute teacher.

 

At the peek of his life, everything suddenly changed in August 2014 when he was diagnosed with stage 3-colon cancer. He is his parent’s only son and this traumatic event has had a deleterious impact on him, his family, and friends. The horrible news has not only changed his life, but also the lives of the others around him.

 

He is now out of work because of his illness. Unfortunately, his coaching days are over and there is a possibility that his children will have to grow up without their father. Marc is scheduled for surgery this week. Marc is also a Type 1 diabetic which will hamper his recovery process.  He will need  24 hour care from a certified nurse and a wound specialist. His medical bills and his household bills are very high and will continue to grow throughout his illness.
