Family and Friends of the Machettes',
As most of you already know, Marc passed away on Tuesday, June 4 at Yale, surrounded by family. There will be a service to celebrate Marc's life on Saturday, June 29 at 10am at Bayley Beach in Rowayton, CT.
The family continues to be blown away by the outpouring of love and support from friends and the community. As you can imagine, there have been overwhelming expenses and debt incurred in the last months of Marc’s life. Therefore, we are still fundraising on behalf of the family, so if you can contribute, please do so here or you can drop off a check at Fairfield County Bank in Rowayton or you can Venmo @onyourmarcmachettego.

On Wednesday, May 8th, Marc was diagnosed with metastatic cancer. We are in the process of learning more, but know that while it is currently in his lungs, it originated somewhere else. Marc is my dad, but he is also a brother, son, uncle, friend and truly the most amazing person I have ever met. He has lived his life in service of others. My dad has always fought for others, friends new and old, and now he has his own fight ahead of him. I am hoping you all out there, will fight alongside him. The only way we will beat this is together. I have created this fund in an effort to help him - he does not have health insurance and his only focus right now should be on winning this fight.
