Marathon Firefighters



With roof-ripping winds and home destroying storm surge, Hurricane Irma tore her way through our beloved Florida Keys on Sunday, September 10. The middle and lower keys took the brunt of her fury, Irma has left behind nothing for many families in the Keys; 10 being local members of the Marathon Fire Department. These families have suffered serve wind damage and over 4 feet of water throughout their homes causing all their belongings to be damaged and their homes to be uninhabitable. While they continue to work tirelessly to help the community by maintaining their safety and protect property left standing, Javier (current firefighter of Marathon and Union member) and Rocky (wife of Marathon firefighter) reach out to you for help to assist them and their families get their home back into living conditions. The money donated will be deposited into a Union account for the department and divided evenly between the 10 firefighters to help them restore their homes. These men and women will be able to clean up and replace damaged flooring, walls and furniture with our donations.
