Hi all and thanks for visiting the page
I am going to run the hurling marathon to raise badly needed funds for the Irish Cancer Society and the HSE Staff for PPE during this crisis.
Both organisations do fantastic work and any money we can raise will be fantastic.
I will have a livestream going on Facebook live through Mayo GAA so tune in if you enjoy some torture!
I will be withdrawing the money into my personal bank account before splitting the donations 50/50 between the two causes. I would be happier if I could give the money directly from the Go Fund Me but they don't have sufficient capability to make this happen.
I also apologise for the level of fees that Go Fund Me have charged to all of the donors. They have also charged over 3% in transaction fees when withdrawing the money.
The final figure is just over €60,000 and I sincerely thank you for all your support.
