<div>This will be be my first ever marathon and I’m doing it to raise money for two great causes, both very close to my heart. I’ll be splitting the money raised 50/50.

<div>I’ll be raising money for pancreatic cancer: 6 years ago we lost a kind , caring , full of life person, my girlfriends mam Lynne Boucher to this awful disease. Lynne would always light up a room and be the life and soul of the party. In the short time i was in her life she always made me feel part of the family and she’s dearly missed by us all, everyday. I know that Emmett our son would have been so lucky to have had her in his life but that privilege was sadly taken away. Every year my partner Kirsten works so hard to raise money for this charity so I thought it’s about time I tried to do my bit. The money for this charity will be added in Lynne’s memory for awareness month in November, it means a lot to both Kirsten and her brother Kyle that money is raised in her memory each year.

<div>The other half of the funds raised will be donated to a go fund me page which was set up for my close friend’s brother and my friend Trevor Jones. Since deciding to run the marathon for Trevor he has very sadly lost his battle, to an incurable brain tumour at just 41 year’s old. The funds being raised are to help his wife Sammy and two sons Rhys and Bryn aged 12 and 8. I am heartbroken for their whole family and any donations will be greatly appreciated to help support them through this horrendous and unimaginable time.
