Marathon for Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome

Hello all

I am running my first ever (and probably only) marathon in Bournemouth on 6th October.  I'm doing this because my friend Charlotte decided she'd rather go to the closing parties in Ibiza than run a marathon.  I can't *think* why!

Anyway like a sucker I agreed to take her place.

I am now a significant chunk of the way through a very tough 16 week training plan which will hopefully allow me to cross that finish line by hook or by crook.

Anyway the real reason I am doing this is to raise some much needed finds for a very small charity called CVSA UK.  I also want to raise awareness of the horrible disease sufferers of which they support.

A young friend of mine suffers from this.  She is only in her 20s, is young and vibrant and talented and fun - but this disease is ruling her life and that of her partner.  She has been unable to take up the career as a make up artist she has trained for and it is so good at.  She is bedridden a lot of the time and in often unable to eat.  The charity have been a lot of help and support to her and her partner, and she is finally getting some treatment, but they are a very small charity and really need all the money they can raise.  Your financial support would be incredibly helpful. But if you could also take some time to read up about the condition and talk to your friends about it that would also be incredibly helpful.

And think of me on 6th October as I run/walk/crawl through 26.2 miles of Bournemouth.

There are hills!
