Marathon Benefiting The Anthony Myers Movement

Last year, I started my journey to train for and complete a marathon. Being new to the sport of running, I knew this goal would challenge me mentally and physically. When the race was cancelled, I decided to continue with my plan and run the marathon solo as scheduled on May 16th.
One of the things I have admired about the running community is its philanthropy. Each race benefits a charity that is important to the race sponsor. I thought it was important to add this element to my own marathon.
My dad has been a head football coach for more than 30 years, coaching at Berks Catholic since its inception. My family has followed his teams, for as long as I can remember. Over the course of the past several years, we were inspired, along with countless others, by Anthony Myers in his courageous fight against brain cancer. Anthony started a nonprofit called the Anthony Myers Movement for the benefit of children and their families. You can read more about the Movement, its mission and initiatives at the link below:
