Help Manuel and Mary in His Battle with Myeloma

Hi! I am Mary’s sister, Carolyn Rivas. I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of Manuel and Mary.

Manuel went into the hospital in late May for hip replacement surgery. He had issues post surgery with his kidneys. He was in the hospital a week and then sent home to recover. After a week at home, Manuel went back to the hospital with more severe symptoms at which

time he was diagnosed with Myeloma, a form of blood cancer.

Manuel has begun dialysis, chemotherapy, and plasmapheresis to treat the cancer. Manuel will be in the hospital for a minimum of two weeks but likely more.

Myeloma is a terrible disease and it takes fighting on many fronts. This page was created to help with finances for medical bills, treatment copays and any other unexpected expenses Manuel and Mary may incur along the way. It’s our hope to achieve this goal in effort to decrease their financial burden and ease the stress that goes hand in hand with a battle of this magnitude.

We are also asking for your prayers. Pray that Manuel would be healed and receive enduring strength! Pray for peace to cover Mary and Manuel and that the Lord would renew their spirits daily!
