My father's name is Manuel Ramos; he tested positive for COVID-19 while working on the frontlines in the hospital as an Environmental Services Technician.  On Monday, December 21st, my father began to show COVID-19 symptoms. On Tuesday morning, my father woke up with high fever and had trouble breathing. My mother, Zoila and I, immediately rushed him to the hospital where doctors began to run different tests on him, in hopes to find out what was wrong with him. Unfortunately, my father tested positive for COVID-19 as well as Pneumonia. Doctors immediately admitted him to the ICU and since that day, my beloved father has been fighting for his life.   January 1st has been the hardest day for us all. The doctor stated that my father was in respiratory distress and had to be put in a ventilator. We do not know when he will come off the ventilator but doctors state that the next couple of days are crucial. As you can all imagine, this has hit our family extremely hard, physically, emotionally and financially. My father, who was recently promoted to a grandaddy, has always been a hard working husband and father, working two jobs to provide for his family. He has worked for the same company for over 5 years.  Unfortunately, not only did my father test positive for COVID-19 but so did my mother and youngest brother. Which has eliminated them from working. If you would like to assist with their financial burden, any donation would be greatly appreciated. All funds raised will go directly to my fathers medical costs and related living expenses for my mother and brother.. El nombre de mi padre es Manuel Ramos; dio positivo por COVID-19 mientras trabajaba en primera línea en el hospital como técnico de servicios ambientales. El lunes 21 de diciembre, mi papá Manuel Ramos, comenzó a presentar síntomas del Virus Covid 19. El martes por la mañana, mi papá se despertó con mucha fiebre y tenía problemas para respirar,  mi mamá Zoila, lo llevó inmediatamente al hospital donde los médicos comenzaron a hacerle diferentes pruebas, con la esperanza de averiguar qué le pasaba.  Desafortunadamente, mi papá dio positivo  al COVID-19 y también neumonía.  Los médicos lo ingresaron de inmediato en ICU ( Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos ) y desde ese día, mi papá ha estado luchando por su vida. El 1 de Enero ha sido el día más duro para todos.  El médico dijo que mi papá sufría de dificultad respiratoria y que debían ponerle un ventilador.  No sabemos cuándo saldrá del ventilador, pero los médicos afirman que los próximos días son cruciales para la vida de mi papá. Como todos pueden imaginar, esto ha afectado a nuestra familia de manera extremadamente dura, física, emocional y financieramente.  Mi papá , quien recientemente acaba de ser abuelo, siempre ha sido un esposo y padre trabajador, con dos trabajos para mantener a su familia.  Ha trabajado para la misma empresa por muchos años.  Desafortunadamente, mi papá no solo dio positivo en la prueba de Covid-19, sino también mi mamá  y mi hermano menor.  Lo que los ha dejado de continuar trabajando. Si desea ayudar a esta causa, cualquier donación será muy apreciada. Y Dios les multiplicará en gran manera. Todos los fondos irán directamente a los gastos médicos de mi papá y los gastos de manutención relacionados a mi mamá y a mi hermano.
