In Memory of Gráinne Uí Chonghaile (nee Mannion)
Martin Mannion & Co. Cycle from Donegal to the Aran Islands
On 31st December 2018 my sister Gráinne passed away peacefully at her home in Lurgan Village, Inis Oirr, Aran Islands. Gráinne was only given a terminal diagnosis late 2018 and at this time Cancer Care West offered our Family 1st class care & support. This support was extended to Gráinne's husband, children and her entire family.
To raise funds for this fantastic organisation, on September 13th and 14th 2019 I, Martin Mannion, will be the captain of a team of eight cyclists who are going to cycle from Annagry Village, Co. Donegal to Lurgan Village, Inis Oirr, Aran Islands. We each shall cycle the entire distance from Annagry to the Aran Islands, 350km, bringing our team total to 2800km!
In the run up to the event we are holding Cyclathons, appearing on the Radio, issuing Sponsor Cards, training like Olympians and generally having fun in memory of Gráinne, while trying to raise as much funds as possible.
