It is our mission to create a fund thru this crowd funding campaign to send people on a fixed income or individuals from families with low income to this world class treatment facility. The Manitoba Meth Crisis initiative fund will be available to people who want immediate treatment. Friday September 7th 2018, we sent our first recipient to the Aurora Recovery Center. Methamphetamine is one of the deadliest drugs on the streets of Manitoba. Its use is also growing at an alarming rate.
Deaths involving Meth have doubled this year over last.
Possession charges for meth increased by 890 per cent since 2012.
Treatment is desperately needed to stop our children from dying.
Aurora Recovery Center in Gimli has room to save lives ...... TODAY. This treatment is not yet covered by Manitoba Health but we cannot just wait for the government to intervene any longer.
