Manicou River Team emergency fund.

During the night of 18 September 2017 the small island-nation of Dominica took a direct hit from Category 5 Hurricane Maria.

Damage to the island's infrastructure was severe and extensive. Great strides are being made in getting basic serves back to functioning but most of the population is still surviving on emergency aid for food and water.

Our eco resort, Manicou River, has been severely damaged and will remain closed for the foreseeble future.

All of our team have either completely lost, or sustained major damage to, their homes. 

We are raising money to fund urgent care and to help them rebuild their lives. 

Donations will be used to buy clothes, food and medical supplies for our team and their families, to provide funds for living expenses and home repairs.

As the cell phone network starts to come back we are communicating via text with the team to gather their needs. We have already started to buy clothes and shoes, as well as tools and gardening equipment to help them rebuild their homes and restart gardens to grow food.
