Mango’s life almost ended before it truly began.
She was found alone in the mountains at just 9 months old. Our original plan was simple: take her to the hospital, spay her, and release her back where she was found. But Mango had other plans…
She was severely underweight and very sick, something we didn’t know until her blood test results came back. Mango tested positive for Ehrlichia, and releasing her was no longer an option. She stayed under our care, received treatment, time to recover, vaccinations, and was safely spayed.
And honestly?
After everything she had been through, we didn’t have the heart to return her to the mountains .
Thanks to the hard work of four rescue groups and the kindness of an amazing flight volunteer, Mango now has a once-in-a-lifetime chance:
✨ to leave the shelter and fly to Washington, DC in mid-January 2026.
Our rescue partner in the U.S. has already secured a foster home and will carefully work to find Mango the perfect forever family once she settles in.
What we need help with
Unfortunately, we can’t cover these final costs on our own:
* ✈️ Flight ticket: 500€
* Second-hand travel crate: 90€
* Documents, bath, microchip & pet hotel: 85€
Total needed: 675€
This is the last step between Mango and her happy ever after .
Please help us give Mango the fairy-tale life she deserves—just like we’ve done for so many other dogs before her.
Every donation, share, and kind thought brings her closer to home.
