Manfred's Dental Work

Manfred is a Cameroonian refugee who arrived in Fayetteville, Arkansas in June 2017 from Algeria.  He is a delightfully upbeat young man with a beautiful, welcoming smile and a warm heart.  Unfortunately, behind that brilliant smile is a lot of pain.  Manfred is in need of major dental work that his insurance alone cannot cover.  Friends have been working with local care providers willing to offer a reduced rate for some services, but the total cost to Manfred of the needed work will still likely run close to $2000.  This includes one root canal, two crowns, and two fillings.  In addition, Manfred was in a bicycle accident in August which resulted in a broken front tooth which not only gives Manfred pain but also has been detrimental to his self confidence as he learns to navigate this new country.

Our goal of $2k would just cover the fillings, crowns, and root canal.  Anything raised over this amount would go toward the cost of repairing the broken tooth once those most urgent needs are covered.    Funds are needed as soon as possible.  This fundraiser is organized by associates of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and funds will be paid directly to the dental providers by St. Paul's on Manfred's behalf.  Thus your donation may be tax deductible (receipts will be provided). St. Paul's is one of several local churches who have been helping Manfred get settled in his new home.
