Our hearts are heavy with the love we have for this amazing soul.
This tragic nightmare happened to a beautiful, genuine, generous Mandy, while she waited for the school bus with her daycare kids to be dropped off Thursday afternoon. She has given 14 years to this daycare. These kids and families mean so much to her. I have never seen anyone have the passion and genuine love for their job as she does. She is definitely the heart and soul of this place, it's not just job to her.
Mandy has a beautiful family with her husband Gord and her their 2 boys, Camren and Jackson. They always have the best time together, no dull moments in their life.
Mandy is the type of person who never puts herself first. It's an argument to try and get her to do anything for herself. She's the first to think of others, whether it's her family or someone who just needs help. She will go above and beyond to ensure every person that crosses her path and needs a hand, she will give it, and not want anything in return. Many times this happens without the person knowing who actually helped them because she wants to be anonymous. She is the true meaning of "selflessness". She gives 150% in everything she does. She has never asked anyone for anything and never would. She makes things happen.
We, her friends along with her sister Misty and her family want to ensure we take care of her in any way possible...
Mandy was airlifted to a hospital on Thursday March 25th after being pinned to a wall by a pickup truck driven by a drunk driver. It took 2 police officers and 6 bystanders to move the truck away and free her.
Mandy has been placed in a medically induced coma with endless injuries. She has since had 3 surgeries and many more to come. Her vitals are currently stable. (Her mom and an army of loved ones in heaven are watching over her).
Mandy and her family have a very long unknown road ahead of them.
Mandy has always been our rock and now it's our turn to be her rock.
