Mando Torres Kidney Transplant Fund

Donation protected

This story is about Armando Torres, who most of you know as "Mando" or "Bud".   Mando is married to his high school sweetheart  Audrey  and has been for the last 36 years.  They have two grown sons who are married, Michael to Ashley and Steven to Teresa.
They each have one son of their own, giving Mando and Audrey two amazing grandsons, Austin and Easton Torres!

Mando is a diabetic and has been on dialysis since July of 2013.   Let me tell you a little about his background!...
After a brief illness, at the very young age of 27 years old, Mando was diagnosed with diabetes.  In late April of 2013, he was dianosed with End Renal Failure.  He was in a very critical state with his kidney functioning at only 4%.

In July of 2013, Mando received his first dialysis session, and his wife,  Audrey,  received her first training session to be able to give him dialysis at home and they started on their journey of home hemodialysis.   Currently they dialyze 5x /week.

These past four years, Mando has been plagued with various medical issues.  He has had constant anziety which has led to shingles and depression.  He has had a blood infection, temporary loss of sight in his left eye, high and low blood pressure issues and in December of 2015, Mando ended up with a herniated disk in his lower back giving him constant chronic pain and leaving him in a most debilitating state.

In December of 2016, due to all these problems, Mando was ultimately forced to retire to focus on rehabilitation.   He (and Audrey) have been working hard to help him get through these issues while maintaining a positive outlook and attitude.
This year, Mando has gone from walking 1/8 of a mile with a cane to just recently NOW walking 1 1/2 miles without a cane.

The waiting list here in California for a kidney transplant is over 4 years or more, however, Mando has been given an amazing opportunity to undergo a kidney transplant at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona!!

Mando may be called within the next 30 to 60 days and since this wasn't expected to happen so quickly, it has put a huge financial burden on them because they will have to temporarily relocate to Arizona for three months during Mando's recovery, while still maintaining their home here in Califonia.

This transplant is URGENTLY needed and Mando and Audrey are ecstatic that his name has been placed at the top of this list to receive this blessing!!

Mando and Audrey are the most amazing people and have ALWAYS been there for all their family and friends and NOW they need OUR help!

They need monetary help to temporarily relocate to Arizona for approximately three months during Mando's recovery and they also will have to come out of pocket for some of the medical expenses and some of the medications that Mando will need after the transplant.

IT'S TIME FOR US TO GIVE BACK TO MANDO AND AUDREY  WHAT THEY'VE GIVEN TO MANY OF US!

If you can help in ANYWAY possible, please donate to this worthy cause.   NO AMOUNT IS TOO SMALL!

I can't express how much this will mean to them....  it's basically his LIFE!

Thank you all....  you are truly appreciated!!
