They say it is better to love and lost than never have loved at all. Today we loved and lost our friend & coworker. Mandi McPeak. Mandi was killed suddenly on Monday, September 21, 2020, when a car driving the wrong way on Rivers Ave. forcing her to go across the median into oncoming traffic Mandi passed away at the scene. We are raising money for burial expenses. Mandy is a full-time mom to the most amazing 11-year-old young man Cameron. Mandi and Cameron had a special bond it's hard to tell who loved who more. If you wanted to get to Mandi you'd have to go through Cam first. Mandi calls Cam several times a day just to see his face and tell him she loves him. She can get pretty mushy but Cam never said mom don't do or say that. They truly are the best of friends. Mandi enrolled in college at the age of 30 to give her son a better future. Mandi and her mom had a dream of buying a home together to raise Cameron in. Mandi had challenges in her life but she pulled herself up by her bootstraps and was determined to own her own company one day. In the block of an eye it all came tumbling down. Now instead of a graduation party we are planning a funeral, instead of a cap & gown it's a casket, know instead of planning her next steps we are honoring her last steps. Instead of watching Cameron grow up next to her she is watching him from above. We desperately need to raise money for a proper burial for this soul and to take some financial burden off of the family and making this horrific tragedy a little easier knowing they can afford to lay this precious soul to rest.
