<div>Hi my name is Teeanna Maughan I’m 21  i  started running in June 2024, after being inspired by my dad’s running. I’m running the Manchester half marathon 13.1miles on 12/10/25 in order to raise some money for my dads boxing club.

<div>My dad has ran since being in his teens. He’s in a running club named boally based in congolton. He have completed potters half many times, Wrexham half marathon , wilmslow half marathon, uttoxter half marathon, Manchester full marathon this year lots of 10ks and many more half marathons! and other races.

<div>Running wouldn’t be possible for me without my dad it’s not only a push for your body but for your mind as well. My dad have been running with me from the start and I could have never started without him. He pushed me to sign up for races and ran them all with me.

<div>Im looking to raise funds for my dads boxing club golden gloves abc. My dad has been in this club for 15years. The clubs only funds are £10 subs weekly per person. There have been many months my dad has had to cover the rent cost or else the gym would have had to close. 
</div>
<div>The club was sadly closing so my dad then became the head coach 9 years ago. His boxing club is located in market street kidsgrove. He is open 4 nights a week Monday Tuesday Wednesday &amp; Friday 6pm-8pm. He also opens extra days when he has boys competing in competitions for extra training. My dad works so hard for his club and it shows as he has a 2x national champion and a school boys champion and last weekend he took a boy to Manchester box cup and he won the Manchester box cup, also a lad who he is hoping to be selected to box for England in the European champions what will take place in Croatia. He takes the boys all over England.

<div>when the gym is short funds my dad covers the costs out of his own pocket.

<div>i would like to raise money for the clubs rent, gas and electricity. Rent is £500 a month, Gas &amp; Electric &amp; water is £150 per month. If I could raise enough money just for one month I would be so so grateful and so would the gym.

<div>My dad have helped and trained so many people including myself with my running and I can honesly say that it wouldn’t be possible for me to have ever started this journey without him it’s been so challenging but my dad have always pushed me with my running and helped me so much. Raising some money for his boxing club would mean the world and would help to stop this gym from closing! The 13.1miles will be tough in the time I want to do it in but I no with my dads help I can do it.
