Man O War Cay RELIEF from Dorian

Thank You in advance for your support to help change the lives of so many residents of Man O War Cay, Abaco, Bahamas... not far from Marsh Harbour.   We wanted to start this Go Fund Me to help the residents of this small island.  Man O War is a small island of only about 400 residents.     With such a massive disaster area,  we are very concerned that this small community will not get the attention that it requires.     There were less than a dozen automobiles on the island, next to zero pieces of heavy machinery,  one tiny grocery stores (which is severely damaged), and the island is very isolated.   This was all before the hurricane.    Being an isolated island, means that tangible donations are somewhat of logistical nightmare.   100% of the funds collected here, will go directly to local aid to purchase supplies needed for the island including but not limited to food, water and shelter.   

The cleanup will be a a long, hard challenge, but your donation will do nothing but enhance lives.  

Who am I?   My name is Joe Culpepper and my father, David Culpepper lives on this island.    He is Coast Guard veteran and has owned a home there for 15 years.    He is extremely fortunate in that his home survived.   He sustained significant damage, but his home is salvageable.    Most of the other residents of the island were not as fortunate.   My father is now in Palm Beach Gardens coordinating relief efforts for Man O War Cay.    He is coordinating water, dry goods, generators, supplies and other necessities to be brought in by boat to this community, which incidentally has lost most of its navigable transportation.    This is a tight knit community that has the heart and drive to stick together, but they need our help.
