Help Mami & Papi Abraham Get A Home

Papi is 84 and Mami is 79, at this age they shouldn't be worried about where they are going to lay their head at night, but sadly in a matter of days they have to.  As of last week we were notified that because of someone that they trusted, mishandeled their finances, they lost their home that they have lived in for 45 years.  We've also found out that all their money that was saved is all gone. They have until December 1st to pack and move.  We are starting this Go Fund Me to help them get into a new place and put all their stuff that is left over into storage.  They have 45 years of memories to pack up.  This has not only been a home to their 6 children but also for some of their grandchildren.  Mami and Papi have always been there to help everyone and I think its time we all help them in their time of need. 

Married in Puerto Rico Luisa and Jose Abraham have had a wonderful life. Papi (Jose) served in the army and was sent to fight in the Korean war.  After serving in the Korean War, Papi served as a police officer in Puerto Rico. In 1965 Papi came to Chicago to esablish a new life. Mami(Luisa) and the kids followed soon after.  In 1972 they had finally saved enough to purchase their first home.  With 6 children to raise, (Milagros, Jose Jr, Arnaldo,  Roberto, Jorge and Rafael) Mami was a stay at home mom while Papi worked at GM Electro Motives.  After 30 years Papi finally retired.  Having strong religious beliefs Mami and Papi have always believed in helping others.

A partir de la semana pasada, se nos notificó que debido a alguien en quien confiaban, malversaron sus finanzas, perdieron su hogar en el que han vivido durante 45 años. También descubrimos que todo su dinero que se guardó se ha ido. Tienen hasta el primero de diciembre para empacar y moverse. Estamos comenzando este Go Fund Me para ayudarlos a entrar en un nuevo lugar y poner todo lo que queda en el almacenamiento. Tienen 45 años de recuerdos para empacar. Esto no solo ha sido un hogar para sus 6 hijos sino también para algunos de sus nietos. Mami y Papi siempre han estado allí para ayudar a todos y creo que es hora de que todos los ayudemos en su momento de necesidad.

Casado en Puerto Rico Luisa y José Abraham han tenido una vida maravillosa. Papi (José) sirvió en el ejército y fue enviado a luchar en la guerra de Korean. Después de servir en la Guerra de Korean, Papi se desempeñó como oficial de policía en Puerto Rico. En 1965, Papi llegó a Chicago para establecer una nueva vida. Mami (Luisa) y los niños siguieron poco después. En 1972 finalmente habían ahorrado lo suficiente como para comprar su primera casa. Con 6 hijos para criar, (Milagros, Jose Jr, Arnaldo, Roberto, Jorge y Rafael) Mami era una mama de casa mientras Papi trabajaba en GM Electro Motives. Después de 30 años, Papi finalmente se retiró. Con fuertes creencias religiosas, Mami y Papi siempre han creído en ayudar a los demás.
