Mamba’s Vet Expenses
Donation protected
My cat Mamba (3 years old) has been in and out of the vets office and an emergency animal hospital for the past week dealing with a sickness. As of right now, it’s assumed to be a fever of unknown origin and has cost me and my mother over $3,000. We’ve done tons of tests and the doctors are still stumped asking to now do an ultrasound for an additional $1,000. We also had to do an emergency visit today (October 10th) because of her labored breathing getting worse. I am never one to ask for help but I am desperate in this time because my mom and I cannot afford these expenses on our own. I would hate to lose my cat due to medical expenses getting too expensive. Any amount, big or small, would help out tremendously. My family and my mamba baby will be forever grateful to anyone that is able to help us out in this time of need!
edit October 11th- they found her diagnosis: pleural effusion. Fluid build up between the chest wall and the lungs. We are now going to get chest X-rays and have the vets take a sample of the fluid from the chest. Mambas test results came up negative for all feline viruses as well as cancers! Small wins but still have more to go. Thank you so much for donating or sharing! It means so much.
10/16 update- mamba is doing a lot better (: has her energy back and is eating on her own. Still very very skinny and fragile but she’s shown so much improvement in the past couple of days. Fingers crossed the fluid randomly built up and there’s no underlying issue (:: ❤️
