MamaDonna needs our cheers now

Donna Rae Hall and her family are so very special.  Most of us call Donna Rae “Mom”.  Everybody has challenges in life and Mom has had her share. When Glen left her a young widow with 3 teenage children, it shattered all of them. But we all know they persevered and carried on.  Today they all stand independent and proud. Donna Rae, always self-sufficient, always employed and prepared for her twilight years. All her life she showed generosity without prejudice, was everybody’s biggest fan and she would cook you some excellent grub if she thought you needed it. 

The medical system and insurance coverages in this great country work really good for those who have not planned well or made a career for themselves, have NOTHING and hit retirement age with major health problems. And, if you’ve been lucky enough to have made many millions in your life, the limits of medical insurance doesn’t hurt as bad.  Donna Rae, like most of us, is in that gray area of “ok I’ve got my insurance, I’m paying good money every month, I’m covered if my health goes down the chute”.  

And then it happens.  Your insurance company starts denying claims. Maybe you battled cancer a few times, broke your hip, had a few surgeries, etc, like MamaDonna did. You reached your maximum limit and will now pay out of pocket for the rest of the year. 

Mom needs some fans now. She can’t be the cheerleader any more. She’s the racer now. It’s   about to begin and she needs help to finish the laps so she sees that checkered flag at the finish line!  

For the next 4 weeks she will be at Windsor Hampton in Stockton with an out of pocket cost of $200.00 per day. Then she will go to Glenda’s and require 24 hour care. And then, knowing  Donna Hall, she’ll be at the first race she can get to!  

She loves cards and letters.  Fingers are not cooperating as well as she would like for texting!
