Making Southwark Golden Oldies Digital!

Hey

My name is Daniel and I am fundraising for Southwark's Golden Oldies charity! They are based in Walworth Methodist Church in South East London. ​Our members are people aged 60+ from the Afro-Caribbean community in Southwark, in particular

Camberwell, Peckham, Rotherhithe, South Bermondsey and East Walworth.

We currently have 45 older Afro-Caribbean members attending weekly and taking part in Digital Skills sessions. Learning how to incorporate technology in to their everyday lives.

At the moment it is especially difficult as we only have 2 iPads that can be used in the session and we have 12 members in each session. Trying to get everyone to understand the various operating systems and intricacies of each app when they are having to wait for a turn with the device is causing members to not take part.

We are trying to raise £5000 to purchase some reconditioned iPads for our digital skills sessions.
