The cause
The scientific evidence is now unquestionable, we’re facing a catastrophic climate crisis and causing irreparable damage to the planet. Temperatures are rising. 20 of the warmest years on record have occurred in the last 22 years. Mass extinction is already underway. The human-caused rate of species loss is between 1000 and 10,000 times the natural rate. We're destroying our soil, cutting down our forests, polluting our air and waters. Crop failure, extreme weather, biodiversity loss, and extreme weather are set to exponentially increase as we destroy our systems for survival. A planetary catastrophe is already underway and Earth is suffering now.
The effects are not only being felt by the planet. Humanity is increasingly plagued by war, violence, greed, inequality, depression, disease, despair, anxiety, addiction, and suicide. In this dystopian dream, we have become disempowered consumers in a system propelled by selfishness, injustice, and fear.
We refuse to sit back and allow this to continue.
Rather than falling prey to the inertia of fear and powerlessness that only serves to feed the toxic system, we're taking back our autonomy. We invite you to join us. Collectively we must act radically and immediately to change our destructive trajectory. And not just because we’re facing extinction. Whatever our fate as a species, we believe living lightly on the Earth and in harmony with other living beings is the right thing to do.
And with our little ethical shop and event space, we hope to be a small part of the solution.
Why we're asking for your help
We are a growing community of kind and curious changemakers. Since the not-for-profit Soul Happy wellbeing initiative was offered a retail space in January, the shop has been a volunteer-run community project funded by ourselves and fitted using upcycled materials. We want to develop our space and make it more sustainable, whilst keeping things grassroots and community-led. Rather than appealing for funding from unethical banks or corporations with an agenda, we're asking for support whilst we're getting established from those who are in a position to help.
We're looking to help our ethical hub grow roots and become resilient so we can continue offering eco solutions among the sea of capitalism consumerism, develop our community space, and ultimately help spread awareness and change the tide towards conscious living. The impact we've already had has been overwhelming and we'd love your help in spreading the love further.
Please only donate if you're truly able to and it's fair for you. No amount is too small. There are also plenty of other ways you can support us.
Your donation will go directly towards
- Creating an accessible programme of educational outreach and content to support sustainable lifestyles and wellbeing of people and planet
- Building developments for the conscious event, coworking, library, catering, and community spaces
- More ethical eco-friendly plantbased stock and equipment for the Zero Waste Pantry
- Running costs whilst we're establishing ourselves (bills, rent, POS, website)

Soul Happy Shop
We’re striving to live as sustainably, wholesomely, and ethically as possible, and are on a mission to help you do the same. Our shop is filled with organic British wholefoods, zerowaste toiletries, sustainable home supplies, homegrown herbs, house plants, sacred bundles, healing teas, exotic adaptogens, ethical gifts, recycled notebooks, upcycled textiles, natural clothing, plantbased candles, secondhand books, and other numinous things.
We'd like to add more items to the Zero Waste Pantry to make it as extensive and comprehensive for fully providing a sustainable lifestyle. Any stock bought supports local ethical businesses and growers.
Event Space
We have a cosy event space above the shop where we host ceremonies, feasts, yoga, pilates, XR meetups, creative workshops, and more.
We'd like to continue to develop this space to facilitate conscious coworking, plantbased caterings, community gatherings, free talks, and library.
