Wilmer Hernandez: Evangelizing with Music

Dear friends,
Firstly, a joyful greeting from my family and I here in Honduras.
My wife, Gabriela, and our two children, Oscar and Ana Cecilia
I have very exciting news to share with you all about how God is calling me to evangelize people using MUSIC! It is a precious gift that God has entrusted to me and which I have been wanting for some time now to share joyfully here in Honduras and, why not, in the whole world.
I want to share something particularly special with you about one reason that drives my purpose for creating this campaign. Almost two years ago, I was in a serious car accident and nearly lost the pinky finger of my right hand. Although this seems insignificant, it left me thinking in a serious way- what if I had lost some other finger of my left hand, which I use to play guitar? or my entire hand? Reflecting in that moment left me with the serious reslolution that it was time to do something different with my talent of music. I want to be able to answer to God that I haven't buried the talent that He has given me. I want to do all I can to multiply that talent, and so that I would be able to do so, please continue reading and watch the video below, and consider if God is calling you to be part of something beautiful he has called me to.
Those who have known me in person will always remember me with a guitar as an inseparable companion. For those of you who have not met me personally, I’d like to share with you that I have been serving the Lord with music since I was 16 years old, especially with the Missioners of Christ and the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal in Comayagua. With them I experienced how wonderful it is to worship the Lord, using music to help bring others to the presence of God.

Until now, my agenda has not been to promote myself as an artist or musician. However, in this past year I have felt that God is calling me to something more. I have been entrusted with major musical works for national level events, and it has been a great honor for me to work on this. In addition, I have recorded six singles in home studios.
Since I recorded my first song I was satisfied with the music, but not as satisfied with the quality. This is the main reason I am sharing this with you; I believe that the quality out to be high as God deserves, that it ought to reflect His glory. By supporting me, you can be part of this evangelization with me. Are you ready?!

I am very excited to share this project with all of you and I hope that you can play an essential part of it. With your donations to help buy recording equipment, quality instruments, and a sound system, I will be able to go out to evangelize! How many lives can be transformed!!! Only the Lord knows the end of this story that begins today.
My prayer is that all my music be for the Lord. I want to sing and play with humility, beauty and truth. Through my music, I hope to give life to others and to speak to them in the intimacy of their hearts, to console through my voice and the harmonies and joys of music.
