Making Masks for our Community

Sew Much Fun has been making hundreds of masks with our own materials for different organizations, free of charge. We have been approached by organizations in Langley including Connect Communities and Kim’z Angels. We were nominated in 2019 for the “Best Community Impact” Small Business BC Awards. Recently we were asked by BC Housing to make 1000 masks at this point and they are reimbursing us for the fabric and supplies. While recruiting volunteers for the BC Housing project, we have had an overwhelming response from so many wonderful people offering to volunteer their time sewing and we realized we can keep this going and help so many more people in need. We can continue to fill the need of many people as long as we can acquire the fabric and elastic to do so.
We are looking for help to pay for the fabric and elastic. We already have the volunteers in place to make thousands of masks to be distributed to whoever needs them, especially the most vulnerable among us including senior’s homes and care homes.
We would also like your input, if you know of places in need of masks; we want to reach as many people as possible.
I didn’t know that there were so many wonderful people out there that are willing to give their time to help in this time of need. It warms my heart and makes we want to make this continue until all of the needs are met.
We are all in this together.
