Mark & Sierra's Holiday Wish: A Van

Meet Mark and his mother, Sierra. Our children both just turned two years old, and they take intensive intervention therapies (speech, physical and occupational) every Tuesday and Thursday together at Children’s Hospital.
Mark and Sierra left their home in Mississippi in April 2019 to receive critical neurological care at Children's Hospital for Mark, and they have been living at the amazing Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Cincinnati since early summer. Due to Mark's medical needs she is unable to work currently. She's an engineer by trade, and a super strong single mother that inspires me every time we are together!
Mark is still working on learning to walk (though I know he will one day!), and given his medical needs he requires special equipment for transportation currently. This equipment is very large and cumbersome, and Sierra is coming to the realization that it would be better for his needs for them to have a van for transportation. While Mark is currently predominately bound to his stroller, Sierra prays daily that he will one day walk – and as a mother whose child was delayed in walking and all of her milestones, I know her journey well and I hold out the promise and hope for her prayers to be answered soon. Regardless of the timing, his needs will still require a more spacious vehicle as he continues to grow.
The amazing news is the owner's of Fuller Ford in downtown Cincinnati have helped us to locate a gently used van that will meet their needs perfectly. And, they have already offered to reduce the cost of the vehicle by $5700! Now all that remains is to raise $8200.
We are hoping to raise this by New Years Day, so Mark and his mom can start the new year off with a somewhat smoother ride as they travel almost daily to Children's and around Cincinnati. Your support will mean so much to me to know we can help show others just how caring our local Cincinnati community can be.
