MAKING A DIFFERENCE FOR MAYA
Maya Richardson is my niece who I love dearly. She is a sweet spirited, loving, strong, and an amazing young lady. Maya has an auto immune disease that she was diagnosed with at age 9. She had done awesome until recently. This form of auto immune disease has affected her kidneys to a point of needing dialysis and eventually the need for a kidney transplant. . Maya has had multiple hospital admissions recently and will be facing many appointments ahead of her.
Maya is only 20 years old and is currently experiencing such a life changing event. Maya’s parents are Michael and Barbara Richardson residing in Greensboro, North Carolina. Maya is currently employed; however she’s unable to work with her current state of health.
All of us have experienced at some point and time in our lives an illness ourselves or our family members that may have been short term or it may have been long termed. Whatever length of time it affected each of us physically, emotionally, spiritually, and financially.
We all understand that when it’s a love one, we all desire to be there every moment to support and love. Maya’s family is no different and is being affected in each area as stated above. Maya’s parents are hard working and proud parents who love their daughter with all their heart and soul. They are pressing each day dealing with the battle of being there for her and surviving for their family.
