In 2008, a two unit residential building was given to me in Chicago IL. This place holds a special place in my life as it is a home I once ran the halls of as a child due to the fact that some of my cousins lived in the house. When I received the property, I no longer lived in Chicago, let alone the state of IL. I always wanted to renovate the property to the state that it once was but unfortunatley before I had financial means and opportunity to do so, squaters took over and caused great damaged to the property.
I have decided that it would be best to makeover this house and give it to those less fortunate so they may start over.
With this gofundme campaign you can help me in raising the money needed to provide a completely Free and Clear 100% renovated property to a well deserving organization Awaken Inc. who’s focus is on victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse in the Chicago Area and Surrounding Suburbs of Illinois.
This two unit building will a safe haven for two families after their exit from an abusive situation/relationship, as well as a place to start their lives over.
