My name is Shekinah, also known as Kinah Kouture. I am 23 years old. I am currently a traveling stylist based in Nashville, TN. I modeled as a child for local clothing stores like 'JC Penneys' & 'Macy's' but as I grew older I began to further develop my hair & make up skills. I have been running a beauty business named Kouture Beauty since 2015 & I have been a full time entrepreneur in business for 3 years now. I am very experienced with the power of making women feel beautiful & confident because it is in fact true that "when you look good, you feel good". Breast cancer is significant to me because my aunt, Nephretaria Walker has been fighting a battle with breast cancer for 3 years & I saw how losing her hair, & long chemo sessions took a toll on her confidence & feminine essence. Her mother, which is my grandmother, Easther Rowe, unfortunately lost her battle to breast cancer in 1986, 11 years before I was born so I wasn't lucky enough to meet her. Aside from the fact that these women are apart of my family, I also look a lot like them so I naturally developed compassion & sympathy with the subconscious thoughts of "what if it was me". It has been placed on my heart for a very long time to raise money to give wigs & makeovers to breast cancer patients to uplift their spirits & boost their confidence while having to endure the struggle of chemotherapy. If you or a loved one has been battling with breast cancer & would like a free make over please email your story & contact information along with any pictures or anything you would like to share to [email redacted]. Either myself, or someone in my team will be in contact for further information to hopefully set up the visit. Details will be discussed then. Donate to help remind a heart that they are beautiful, loved & appreciated. Anything Helps. Thank you.
