<div>And…it’s a wrap!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Is what we said a little while ago, as we shot the last scene of Stutterbug. And after that, it’s been a whirlwind of editing, colouring, recording…
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>…all of which would not have been remotely possible without your donations.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It is from the bottom of our hearts that we say THANK YOU to all of you, thank you for helping us get this powerful, funny project made!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Stutterbug now is ready for its festival journey: virtually travelling the world to show audiences that stuttering might just be a superpower…unless you use it to accidentally make enemies.
</div>

<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Hi, I’m Aidan Greene.</strong>
</div>
<div>I’m a writer, actor, and stand-up comedian—and Ireland’s foremost (and only) stammering comedian. I’ve spent over a decade using comedy to share my experiences as a person who stutters, but I’ve never seen a story like mine told on film.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That’s why I wrote Stutterbug, a short film inspired by my real-life experiences.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In the past six months, Stutterbug reached the finals of both the Virgin Media Discovers and Shore Scripts Short Film Fund competitions. Now, we’re ready to make the movie—but we need your help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>What’s Stutterbug about?</strong>
</div>
<div>Aidan is a man with a stutter who just wants one thing: coffee. But as his day unfolds, his attempts to hide his stutter cause him to accidentally tell a charity worker to f**k off, ruin his chances with his college crush, Jess, by unintentionally insulting her proud stuttering brother Sean and, worst of all, order a mocha instead of an americano.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Aidan is all of us. He is ashamed of who he is, and he goes to extreme lengths to hide it, and hilarity ensues...at his own expense.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I know you wish you could have a sneak peek at it now...oh how lucky you are! By clicking this link you'll be able to see our Proof Of Concept, a little taster of what's to come!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why This Story Matters</strong>
</div>
<div>Growing up, I never saw a portrayal of stuttering that reflected my reality. Too often, characters who stutter are punchlines, villains, or “inspirational” figures overcoming their “flaws.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The last time a stuttering actor played a stuttering character was in 1937, when Joe Dougherty voiced Porky Pig—until he was fired for stuttering too much. THIS IS A REAL FACT LOOK IT UP!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is my chance to change that. Stutterbug is written by someone who stutters, starring not one but two actors who stutter (take that Porky), and it tells an authentic story of stuttering—not as inspiration porn or a joke, but as part of a real, three-dimensional character.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>How You Can Help</strong>
</div>
<div>Filmmaking is expensive, and we need your help to:
</div>
<ul>
<li>Pay our cast and crew fairly.
</li>
<li>Feed and support our team.
</li>
<li>Secure locations and production design.
</li>
<li>Use top-quality equipment.
</li>
<li>Edit and score the film professionally.
</li>
</ul>
