A scammer builder runs off with £20,000 My poor babies have a little box of a house to live in as it is they struggle to get about due to their problems and now they can’t even get a breath of fresh air on their swing in the garden This breaks my heart knowing as their mother I have created this mess!

I am a mother of four children, three suffer with disabilities including MY 14 year old boy who type 1 diabetes and autism, my 5 year old son has global development delay, sever ADHD, sensory, sleep disorder and my 11 year old daughter also has ADHD and sleep disorder and has developed depression and has needed to be assessed by EWHMS the children's mental health unit as she has been suicidal.
My 11 year old daughter and 5 year old son have to share a bedroom. So worked my little bakery business and saved for years, I brought my property with right to buy and borrowed an extra amount to adapt it for my children's needs. I am now stuck with a 35 year mortgage!
The builder took his chance to act on my vulnerability of being an exhausted mother wanting to desperately adapt my home for my children's special needs.
He invited me to his home to show me his bi - fold doors around his family, for the deposit and contract to be drawn up.
He was on check a trade, had a professional website linked to his other company, email address was even official, he had Facebook business pages with him in the photo's demonstrating his work, He was even on google under both companies.
He contracted me under a company that is now dissolved and has stolen £20,475 in advanced payments after finding sewer pipe in my garden and run off with my money. These payments were part of a deposit and to fund the architect, structural engineer, Anglian water application, excess labour and materials to cover to costs of sorting the pipe. He reassured me that this was next stage payment and any little extras with be resolved at the end payment.

The sewer pipe that I have permission to build over is public and it is my duty as a home owner to rectify the exposed pipe or I can be held liable.
All I want is my children to be safe in their own home again and be able to enjoy their home with it suitable for their needs!
This has impacted me and my children immensely and we are all suffering from this horrific scam. I am struggling to cope and meet their needs as a mother i feel terrible i have put them in this situation. I cant even have a bouncy castle for their birthday or afford to cater for a party this month.
Please don’t give money upfront to builders. This guy had good reviews, check a trade account, website, web emails address, Facebook page and google reviews and Pictures of him in clients homes working even invited me to his home around his children..
The banks wont return the money due to his account being cleared and there is no cover for fast "wired payment" banking app. Even though they recognise this type of scam as a pushed payment.
If the builder has no assets in his name there is no chance your money is coming back legally he has most likely stashed the cash somewhere nice and safe.

No matter how good they seem don’t pay upfront. Banks don’t get your money back through banking apps.
This is not a plea for peoples hard earned money everyone is suffering in these hard times I am creating awareness!
I would like to be put in touch with reputable honest hard working tradesman who can help get us out of this mess please.
