In the past 6 months a volunteer staff has achieved the cooperation of key city permitting agencies to support these locally produced shows with a minimum of red tape and cost. We thank them. At the same time, several of our favorite musical nonprofits, the Community Music Center, Conservatory of Music, Music City, Blue Bear Music have joined the bandwagon and will deploy faculty and students on Make Music Day at various venues across San Francisco.
Your contribution will enable staff to cover their out-of-pocket costs to coordinate and publicize Make Music Day and receive a modest compensation for the next six months. It will also cover the membership fee of Make Music San Francisco with the national Make Music Alliance affording us access to their hosted match-making platform and software so that local producers and venues can find musicians and vice-versa.
As an expression of our gratitude I can guarantee you free admission to any one of more than 100 free musical shows across the city on June 21, 2020 and for many years to come. Feel free to write to me for more details about how you can participate in the debut of Make Music San Francisco. Thank you very much for your generosity.
