Make Kim's Bathroom Usable Again

Donation protected

Kimberly Anderson is mom to three children and a full-time special needs nurse for the Jordn School District. Kimberly's husband has left the state and is providing no support for them. She is currently going through a difficult divorce. Her energetic 8 year old Matthew has sensory processing disorder age 8 and her 2 year old little Lilly has hypoplastic right brain with grey matter hetterotopia. The cute  5 year old Robbie keeps them all on their toes! Their father used the home as the base for his food truck business and it has taken quite a beating with few repairs or upkeep done over the years! Many basic things like the garbage disposal, thermostat, kitchen sink and windows are in need of repair. Locks on the doors need to be changed. Kim doesn't have the skills or the money to get her house in shape as she moves forward as a single mom

Kimberly's bedroom is completely open to the rough wood floor of a bathroom her husband tore up two years ago to remodel, but it was never completed. There are un-sheetrocked walls, no toilet, sink or shower. There are holes in the ceiling and bare wood on the floors. It is unsafe, unsightly, and depressing. This is the biggest need. Her nurse's salary is stretched just to provide basics with no wiggle room for anything extra like high heating bills which will happen this winter due to the open ceiling in the torn up bathroom.

If we can get a few tradesmen, willing workers and a little money, we can make Kimberly and her children's lives so much safer, comfortable and encouraging. As Kim and her kids embark on this new life with the responsibilities only on her shoulders, having a bedroom that isn't open to an unfinished space, being able to run her disposal without it clogging every time and making the house secure would go a long way to helping this family make a new start.

It is hard to ask for help. Kimberly is a hard-working, caring woman, a returned LDS missionary who is devoted to living a Christlike life and create a loving and good home. There are times when we give and times when we need help. We would be ever so grateful, eternally grateful, for the help of friends and acquaintances who want to give to Kim and her children. Thanks so very much.

Tradesmen willing to give of their time and skill, money for things like flooring, sinks, vanity, etc. would be gratefully accepted.

You can contact Kim at [email redacted] if you wish to make a non-monetary donation.
