A Safer Hollywood! Intimacy Coordinators of Color

My name is Ann James. I am a director, an educator, an actress, a producer and an activist. As Hollywood strives to get back on its feet, the need for intimacy professionals trained in protecting the consent and boundaries of Black, Indigenous and People of Color are going to be more necessary than ever.

To date, there are very few trained Intimacy Coordinators of Color (ICOC) living in Los Angeles. That means that even though there are thousands of actors of color working in the industry, they don't often have an advocate of color in the room when telling stories of trauma and intimacy. Intimacy Coordinators of Color needs to move swiftly in order to do our part in training and qualifying ICOC in time for the reopening  of Hollywood.

We need your help to raise funds so that we can offer informative interviews with leading intimacy specialists, workshops and  scholarships for training that is slated to begin in July 2020. If you can help, we can create new career opportunities and make Hollywood more safe, more fair and more mentally healthy for people of color. 

We are specifically focused on creating pathways to education and training for Black, Indigenous and People of Color in intimacy work in the entertainment industry. Our lives matter. Our stories matter. Your donation will help us train Intimacy Coordinators Of Color so that  actors of color have an advocate on set to help tell the stories of our shared history.
