Make Christmas Merry for Families in Need

You can make a difference.
Hundreds of families go without the luxuries we all enjoy, including the luxury of a fixed address where they can call home. Things like WiFi, central heating, a takeaway at the weekend or a simple trip to the cinema are not even in the realm of possibility for these young families.
We're raising funds to help at least some of these families to have a luxury that everyone should have....................... a Merry Christmas.
Imagine a Christmas with no turkey and ham dinner. No Christmas tree and even worse, no presents to go under it. Not even a couch or a T.V to watch a Christmas movie together.
We're lucky enough to find it almost inconceivable to imagine any of those things missing from our Christmas. But tragically, there are thousands of people who know this all to well as a reality. What would you sacrifice to be able to give the people you love just one day where everything is happy and to step out of the hardship just for that day?
Well whatever your answer is to that question, you can be sure that these unfortunate folks are thinking the same. I know I could definitely go without another €10 shower gel set or set of socks and jocks and I'd much rather people give that €10/€20 to a cause like this.
So, here's how you can give them a break and give them a day that really will feel like a miracle.
All of the crew at Dublin Strength and Conditioning are pulling together and will attempt a massive scale BURPEE total.
If you don't know what a burpee is, click THIS . If our members see these in their workouts, they immediately feel nervous ;)
The total amount raised will dictate how many burpees the coaches and members will have to perform together on Saturday December 21st from 10am until it's done.
The event will be streamed live through our Instagram page so you can follow the madness or better yet, come over in person and give us a hand and knock out a few reps yourself. We'll of course be taking donations on site too.
A €10 donation will buy 100 burpees
A €20 donation will buy 500 burpees
A €30 donation will buy 700 burpees
A €50 donation will buy 1,000 burpees
ALL funds will be used to provide families with toys, food, clothing, household appliances and other household necessities.
We appreciate that this is an expensive time of year for everyone but we'll just reiterate the point from earlier......... The luxuries that mean the most to us, probably don't come from that last stocking filler. So please help us as much as you can and get us as many burpees as possible by donating what you can and spreading this message as far and wide as you can.
