Hi this is Talena and Mike. Our dog Charlie is seven years old, He is a chocolate lab. I rescued him from a puppy mill when he was 1 1/2 years old. He was malnourished and had never been indoors, trained, socialized and sadly never loved. I took him into my home and immediately fell in love with him. We have been inseparable ever since. He is such a good smart boy and has been instrumental in the rehab and training of dogs we have fostered in the past. Charlie seems more human than Dog really, and he just loves being with his people and going on walks and greeting random strangers, and above all, food. Up until recently he came to work with me at Champlain Farms in Middlebury VT every day where customers absolutely love him and look forward to seeing him when they come in. Unfortunately about a month ago he stopped going to work with me because he just wasn’t himself. We took him to the vets and found out he had aggressive lymphoma, which is cancer, and the only way that we can help him is with medication. Because of the type of cancer surgery is not an option. Unfortunately things are extremely tight Because Mike cannot work and vet bills and medication are quite expensive. we don’t know how long Charlie will be with us but we want him to be as comfortable as possible while he still is. We hate asking but really have no other choice. anything helps and we are extremely grateful thank you for your time, care and concern,
