"Dogs are not our whole lives, but they make our lives whole. " -Roger Caras
Bailey. Words cannot embody the love and connection I have with this beautiful, silly, loveable animal. She has been my constant sidekick of ten years, and we are rarely seen without the other.
Many of you have know her through our time at Ong King and through out Chinatown. She is famous in her own right as the dog at the bar, the pup in the red chair, the greeter at the front door, watching from the corner, and in the middle of the stage helping me host through all the open mics, first fridays, parties, art openings, classes and movies. She is more than a dog she is my best friend.
Bailey has always been a pretty healthy, happy dog but over the last couple of months a couple of growths on her leg, behind her ear, and near her tail have begun to impede her way of life. Being that she is 10 surgery was never my first choice but as time went on I became more aware that it was no longer an option I could afford to rule out. It is also an option I am ashamed to say I alone cannot afford. As hard as I have been working this is not something I can pay out of pocket completely at this time and what I have saved wont cover half. These tumors may or may not be malignant. So this may be that start of a longer process but regardless they need to be removed. I have tried to get a care credit and been denied and time is of the essence.
Any little thing will help to repay this beautiful animal for all the love and joy she has given me and I think so many more. Please help me help Bailey.
Humbly yours
