I’ve had the privilege of knowing Katherine Albetski this year and getting to be a part of her and her children’s lives. What Katherine has survived in the last two years is utterly terrifying. Katherine is a survivor of domestic abuse and violence in a previous marriage. This marriage became so bad that Katherine had to flee her home with her children out of safety. During this horrific ordeal she found temporary housing with a friend until she found another apartment finally.

Going through counseling and therapy helped her with her newfound diagnosis of PTSD and anxiety. This year has been very financially hard for her with the divorce and balancing work and parenting by herself for most of 2024. In the last three months Katherine’s new apartment was met with a myriad of issues all leading her to have to again relocate. During this time she had to quit her job, move in with her parents, and is now forced to start all over again, but this time from scratch.

With Christmas around the corner in two weeks and two wonderful children who deserve a wonderful Christmas. I’m making this because she needs help. I’ve helped her the best I can during all of this, but I myself I’m just coming out of being seriously ill for the past two years. During the time in which I was sick, my whole life changed and nearly fell apart, but not for the graces of a few good friends who showed me that there are some truly kind and amazing people in the world.

I’m reaching out to that group now to help me help her create a Christmas miracle. I’m making this so Katherine can have funds to get a new apartment have her kids have a normal Christmas and for her to be able to breathe and not be forced into a situation, but create one for herself. Katherine is a wonderful caring person. Anyone who knows her will tell you she doesn’t have an unkind bone in her body. She’s the kind of person where even though she is broke and she had $10, you would have $9 if you asked and needed it. I can’t think of anyone more deserving for a second chance than this girl, what she survived was horrific and she deserves to be praised for how she came out of it. Please help me give her a fresh start and her kids a good Christmas.
