Hello Lovely Ones!!
I have an incredible opportunity to go on TOUR with my music mentor JennyRebecca Winans, who just released her debut album October 7th!!! This is a huge opportunity in my life as I begin my career in the music industry. I will be traveling with her as one of her opening performances at each of the shows!! We have several cities on the agenda: San Diego, New York, Nashville, Europe for the month of December, and that is just in November and December. We are going to play shows in many other cities in the coming new year!
THE STORY
I have always loved music. I remember as a young girl being fascinated with the people on stage, and the songs they sang. I would sit and listen to my favorite artists for hours on my little CD player, reading along with the lyrics from the albums case. I dreamed of writing songs, of singing for crowds, for cutting albums. When I was 12 my friends gave me their big, brown piano, an absolute beauty. I started to teach myself to play and then started to take lessons, and my horizons broadened widely. I wrote my first song when I was 15. I remember the way the melody seemed to find me, how the lyrics rolled off my tongue in poetic language I’d had no intention of writing. It felt like magic. I continued to write and grow in this newfound love of music, never thinking I could actually pursue a career in it. But when I was 17 I realized with shocking sobriety, that if I never pursue this passion for song that was inside of me, I would regret it. I needed to just see what was on the other side, to give myself the peace of mind. I don’t think I fully comprehended how that dream would grow and take its shape over the next three years.
Here I am now, watching the dream unfold before me. I am working with a producer to craft an EP, I have an amazing music mentor that does nothing but champion my growth and challenge my skill, and I am going on tour to song songs all over the US and Europe. I’m so thankful for what I’ve been given. These opportunities are gifts and I hold them dearly.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
With all this travel ahead of me I am very aware of the financial piece and, despite the working two jobs and saving, there are still expenses I won’t be able to cover with my own income. Here’s the run down on what I need help with:
EUROPE TOUR Dec 1st - Dec 27th
Ticket to Helsinki - $450
Ticket from Berlin - $800
Ticket to Switzerland - $120
Ticket to Helsinki - $120
Food - $600
Lodging - $300
Transportion - $300
Grand Total - $2,690
Budget - $2,800
There will be other touring dates as well, but those aren't set in stone yet, but I will keep you updated!
In order to purchase both tickets I will need $1,400 by November 1st, a week from today!!
The deadline for the rest of the funds is November 22nd.
I'm so excited for this next step in my career! This is oppertunity is a dream come true for me, and I'm anticipating great things to come from it.
MY GIFT TO YOU
I've been looking for a way to express my thanks to my supporters. I want it to be a piece of myself, something special that I hold dear, a token of my deepest thanks and gratitude. Sooooo I settled on something that excites me to my core: Everyone who donates will get a three songs off my EP before it's release in May!!! These will be pre-released, stripped back versions of three of the tracks from my upcoming EP!! This project has been so close to my heart, and after only a couple of weeks in I can already feel the anticipation in my heart rising. The sounds, the melodies, the lyrics, have all come from my personal process over the last couple of years. Now I get to team up with some amazing people to create a tangible expression of the heart and soul of each song. I so look forward to sharing these with you!!!
