Nikiski to Nepal

My name is Maiya Anderson and I am a high school senior attending Nikiski High School in Alaska. I plan on volunteering in Nepal and was going to last summer; however, my funds were insufficient and have had to postpone it. I would prefer to go to Nepal sooner rather than later, but am excited to go regardless.

Going to Nepal isn't going to change the world - I already know that. However, it will change me. I am a youth growing up in a world of ignorance, and would like to be able to beneficially influence those around me with a different perspective. This will be my first international trip, but definitely not my last. This trip will open the door to volunteering abroad, which I plan on pursuing
