Máiréad's fundraiser for NET Ministries Ireland

Hi my name is Máiréad and I am fundraising for NET Ministries Ireland. This is an Organization that I hold very close to my heart. Their Mission is to encourage young people to love Jesus and embrace the life of the Church. This fundraiser will go towards the cost of training, accommodations, food and transportation for us missionaries. NET Ministries doesn't just share the Gospel it shares God's love with young people. So many young people are not getting the love, respect and intention that they deserve. So many young people feel ignored, alone and unimportant. I know this because I felt like this too. I spent so long trying to make myself believe that I was beautiful and valuable but the only thing that made be believe was God and the Catholic Church. Before that I had just been depending on the opinions of others which changed drastically depending on their mood and my actions. God stands firm with his opinion of me, it is unchanging no matter what I do or say. I am loved. I am beautiful. I am valuable.

Believing these truths about myself changed my life. Young people need to know the truth. They deserve to know the truth about who they are and who God is. I don't want any young person to feel the way that I felt. To feel that you are a burden, to feel like you are in the way is awful. I want young people to feel the love that they deserve, to feel valuable, beautiful and listened to. This is what NET Ministries does, it leads people to Jesus and so leads people to love and truth.
