<div>Just days after her fourth birthday, Thalia-Beau was diagnosed with an incredibly rare heart condition, Restrictive Cardiomyopathy. The only hope for the future was for Thalia to receive a heart and lung transplant, but in August 2020, and at just 5 years old, this beautiful little girl fell asleep forever, in the arms of her loving family.​​ Though her time may have been brief, the impact that Thalia made was lasting and profound, she radiated an extraordinary warmth, oozed kindness, and all throughout her own suffering, selflessly showed such compassion to others.

<div>In the wake of complete devastation, the family were fuelled with an intense passion to carry forward Thalia's wonderful legacy, and on her 6th birthday, in November 2020, the foundation was born.​​​​​ December 2023 proudly brought the family charity status, and through their hard work, determination and the wonderful support they receive, they are able to keep continuing the beat of Thalia's beautiful little heart.​​

<div>The family are lucky enough to live in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, a much loved seaside resort. Being near the sea has always been such therapy for them and it certainly was for Thalia too, she lived for the beach. Their vision for the future is to open The Thalia-Beau Beach Retreat, a home on the Yorkshire Coast where families bereaved of a child can come to take a short break.
