Maier Family Memorial

UPDATED: On March 16 a tragedy struck small town Saskatchewan.
It doesn't hit home unless you know the people who were affected by this and then it trickles into the heart of our province, and our hearts especially if you are from Maidstone or Briercrest.
In Briercrest, it has impacted one of its established families, the Maier family so heavily these days. They have suffered a terrible loss, and have much grieving ahead of them. They are a close-knit family that will support each other along the way but also have the wonderful support that the community they live in during a time of need.
My name is Christy Schweiger and I work with Joan Maier and it is on behalf of her co-workers we felt it important to help her and her family upon hearing of the news over the past few days of the sudden and tragic deaths of 2 of her family members. Joan and Tim’s son Curtis Maier and their granddaughter's husband Justin Rhinehart. We are asking for donations to help these 2 young families alleviate the burden of funeral expenses.
Anyone who knows the Maier's knows they would give the shirt off their backs to anyone they love and care about. Now it's our turn to rally for them. Not only must they deal with the unimaginable pain and grief of losing 2 family members both tragically before their time but now their wives have become widows and their young children will not grow up with their fathers beside them.
After speaking with Joan Maier we have decided to create a GoFundMe campaign which may be able to help with some of these unforeseen expenses and ensure we have money available to start covering funeral costs. All money raised will be used to cover the expenses associated with both Curtis and Justin's memorial. If there are any funds left over after reimbursement of costs, the money’s will be divided between Curtis and Justin widows and their young families to help them heal and not worry about the financial implications of such a tragic event.
All money raised from this fundraiser will be withdrawn by Joan Maier and transferred to her daughter-in-law (Des Maier) and granddaughter (Cortney Rhinehart) as she is coordinating with the funeral home and other necessary parties.
Please donate what you can, every little bit helps. If you can't donate monetarily, please share this campaign on your Facebook page. And prayers, prayers are ALWAYS welcome as well.
